This site is an outlet to pursue two of my interests: politics and writing. While I’m no longer on the front lines, I worked several years in elections, media, government and issue advocacy, and earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Missouri.
As a registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), I actively trade stock, options and futures, and continually explore global financial markets for emerging trends and opportunities. Finance and Investments is a topic I look forward to exploring in greater depth on the site in the days ahead.
I have contributed to the National Association of Scholars website, and my past articles and columns have appeared in WORLD Magazine and Human Events Online. I served on staff with John McCain for President and the Missouri House Republican Campaign Committee, and worked for the Children’s Education Alliance of Missouri and on the Missouri Civil Rights Initiative. Some years ago I first learned about public service as an intern for Sen. Jim Talent (R-Missouri) and Gov. Matt Blunt (R-Missouri).
When I’m not investing, reading or blogging, you might find me competing in a triathlon, playing the violin or piano, studying Spanish, or admiring the architecture in Chicago, Illinois. Education has also been one of my interests, and I enjoy volunteering as a mentor to young students and serving on a local school council for a local high school.
