Dream Control

Intriguing piece over at Slate by Mason Currey, about the potential to control one’s dreams.

This is an inviting prospect, and one that I’ve experimented with before, although in somewhat different and less direct ways than Currey discusses.

To intentionally influence your dreams the first thing you must do is have dreams. To do that, I have found first and foremost that you have to be on a solid sleep schedule, with ample time for REM sleep.

Secondly, I have found that being in a relaxed mental or emotional state is helpful, while thinking consciously about the subject of which you hope to dream.

Sweet dreams.
