Principally Political back in action

It’s been a week or so since I’ve posted, and that’s because I’ve been making the move from Overland Park, Kansas to Columbia, Missouri. I look forward to studying political science at the University of Missouri where I will complete my degree after one year. It is exciting to be returning to school after several years in the working world.

Now that most of the heavy lifting with the move is over, you can expect to find me posting regularly again! I will continue to write often, with an emphasis on local stories from around Missouri and Kansas.

Here in Columbia – and far beyond, in fact – many mourned the passing of George Parker. Perhaps best known for founding the Pachyderm clubs, he was also a military veteran, a legislator and promoter of civic-values. MU political science professor David Webber memorializes Mr. George Parker in the pages of the Columbia Daily-Tribune, calling him an inspiration to others.
